About GYC Africa
GYC Africa is a missionary movement of vibrant, passionate students and young professionals who are driven by the reality of Christ’s imminent return. We exemplify Christian virtue and excellence in all aspects of our lives, and we are dedicated to spreading the advent message across the African continent. We are a supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and a GYC affiliate ministry.
Our Goals
It is the goal of GYC Africa and its members to seek and galvanize such young people. We aim to mobilize existing youth and young adult ministries that are fully committed to the distinctive message and mission of the Adventist Church towards the proclamation of the Three Angels’ Messages.
GYC Africa seeks to equip and inspire young people to be Christian ambassadors to their respective places of work and study by:
Biblical Training
Providing Biblical training in the form of participatory workshops, Bible studies, and inspirational messages at its annual conference.
Christian Fellowship
Fostering and encouraging Christian fellowship among young people from diverse backgrounds.
Networking Opportunities
Creating network opportunities for Adventist young people and youth-oriented ministries.
Leadership Responsibilities
Encouraging young people to assume leadership responsibilities by employing their experience and talents in planning and presenting the annual conference and other events.
